Posterior cruciate ligament injury

The posterior and anterior cruciate ligaments cross each other and fix the knee together. If one ligament is injured, you may feel pain, swelling and knee instability, and you may be unable to move properly. Posterior cruciate ligament injury symptoms are usually mild. But as time passes by, pain may worsen and the knee may feel increasingly unstable. The length of treatment depends on the extent of damage, cause of injury and time elapsed from the injury. Posterior cruciate ligament injury is often incomplete tear. Plaster fixation can be used. If the tear is complete, surgical repair is recommended.
