Prader-Willi syndrome is a rare syndrome of obesity. Symptoms include increased appetite, obesity, short stature, muscle weakness, growth retardation, mental retardation and growth hormone deficiency. Patients often eat a lot despite full stomach, leading to severe obesity. Obesity may lead to many complications. There is no cure for Prader-Willi syndrome yet. The prognosis is poor. Treatment aims at controlling the symptoms. It includes diet control and hormone supplement.
