Presbyopia is part of the aging process. Usually it starts from about 45 years old, and continues to deteriorate until 65 years old. Patients will gradually find they cannot read small fonts clearly at the usual reading distance. You may unknowingly move head backward or move the book forward to read clearly. You may also want to use brighter lights at night. Wearing eyeglasses is the top correction method. Surgery may also be an option.
