Psoriatic arthritis

Psoriatic arthritis is an inflammatory joint disease associated with psoriasis. Symptoms include psoriasis rash symptoms and arthritis symptoms. Arthritis symptoms include pain, swelling, tenderness, stiffness in joint and surrounding tissues, and mobility range restriction. The disease lasts very long and relapses easily. At late stage, joint is so stiffness that patients lose mobility. The onset is usually slow. The onset is acute in approximately 1/3 of patients, along with fever and other whole body symptoms. Treatment aims to relieve pain and slow joint destruction, as well as control skin lesions. Patients should rest properly to avoid fatigue and joint injuries. Take joint functional exercise and avoid tobacco, alcohol and spicy food.
