Rebound headaches

Rebound headaches are often caused by excessive use of headache medications. Painkillers may relieve headaches. Once the effect weakens and headache attacks again, you will reuse them, even with increased dosage and frequency. It becomes a vicious cycle. Patients may unknowingly develop dependence on painkillers. Almost any drugs used for immediately curbing headaches may lead to rebound headaches. You should use headache drugs correctly. Use them only when headache attacks, not use them every day. Also do not overdose. Patients should be hospitalized if you cannot quit headache drugs or rebound headaches are severe.
