Ringworm of the body is a fungus infection of skin. It's characterized by a red circular rash. The skin inside the ring may be clear or marked with scattering red bumps. The rash is usually itchy. As the disease develops, the ring expands outward. Ringworm is a contagious disease. It can spread from human to human, animal to human, object to human, or soid to human. Treatment include over-the-counter of prescription antifungal creams or lotions. Severe cases may need oral antifungal drugs.
