Rocky Mountain spotted fever

Rocky Mountain spotted fever is bacteria disease caused by tick bite. Symptoms appear suddenly in 3 to 12 days after tick bite. The shorter is the latency period, the more severe are the symptoms. You may have severe headache, chills, extreme weakness, and muscle pain. Body temperature can go as high as 103-104 F (39.5-40 C) in a few days. If brain blood vessels are affected, it causes headaches, irritability, not being able to fall sleep, delirium and coma. There is no vaccine for Rocky Mountain spotted fever yet. Rocky Mountain spotted fever can cause serious illness or even death. Antibiotics can significantly reduce mortality.
