Scarlet fever

Scarlet fever is an acute infectious disease caused by type A Streptococcus bacteria. It often occurs in preschool children and is transmitted by mouth and nose secretions. Skin lesion looks like sunburn and is composed of tiny pink spots. Main symptoms are fever, rough rashes and sore throat. Some children have other symptoms, such as headache, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain and muscle pain. The condition usually eases 48 hours after using antibiotics. Skin rash subsides in 4-6 days.
