Schizoid personality disorder is also known as inferiority personality. Patients have sense of inferiority. They are usually introverted, withdrawn, cowardly, shy, and do not talk much. Their life is dull and rigid. They often avoid social activities and interaction with others. And they usually live lonely lives. Schizoid personality is formed in childhood and accompanies patients for the whole life. So far there is no specific medication to treat the personality. Antipsychotic is beneficial for acute phase of the disease, but long term effect is uncertain.
