Seborrheic keratosis

Seborrheic keratosis is a benign skin tumor commonly seen in the elderly. First you see light brown spot on the seborrheic area. The spot is painless and has a clear boundary. Then the color darkens and the spot grows like a wart. There are greasy scales on the surface. It can occur at any area except mucosa or bottom of feet, but most commonly it occurs on face and center of the trunk. The skin lesion rarely disappears itself and rarely turns malignant. Generally no treatment is needed. Liquid nitrogen freezing therapy can be used when necessary.
