Sleepwalking is an unconscious behavior during sleep. Patients suddenly get up from sleep and do things. They move around and do things but do not fall or bump into something. And finally they can still return to the original bed to sleep. Sleepwalking patients do not have physical brain lesions like epilepsy patients do. When patients wake up from sleepwalking state, they are unaware of what happened during the sleepwalking. Sleepwalking often affects children 4 to 12 years old. For most patients, it will disappear after adolescence. However, sleepwalking may occur at any age. It may involve some unusual or even dangerous behaviors. It is very important to protect the safety of patients during sleepwalking.
