Spinal stenosis

Spinal stenosis can be congenital or acquired. It can affect neck, chest or lumber section of spine. Lumbar 4-5 and lumbar 5-sacral 1 are the most commonly affected. It often affects male aged 40-50. Early symptoms of spinal stenosis are not obvious. Radiating nerve pain appears when spinal tube narrows to a certain degree. For mild cases non-surgical therapy methods should be used first, such as bed rest, traction, massage, physical therapy and medication. If non-surgery therapy is not effective, surgery should be considered.
