Staphylococcal folliculitis

Staphylococcal folliculitis is a type of bacterial folliculitis caused by Staphylococcus aureus (staph). It is a superficial folliculitis, which means that the infection is not deep. You may see clusters of small red bumps or white-headed pimples that develop around hair follicles. The blisters are filled with pus and may break. The bumps can be itching or painful. Antibiotic creams can be used to treat staphylococcal folliculitis.
