Superficial folliculitis

Superficial folliculitis is follicle infection on the shallow layer of skin. It is often caused by bacteria infection. You may see clusters of small red bumps or white-headed pimples that develop around hair follicles. The pus-filled blisters may break and form crust. The affected skin around it can be itchy or painful. Superficial folliculitis can be treated using antibiotics creams or ointment.
