Swine flu (H1N1 flu)

Swine flu (H1N1 flu) is flu that usually affects pigs. It rarely affect human. If it affects human, it is called human swine flu. It cannot be transmitted by pork. Occasionally the virus spreads from pig to human but it is rare. Pig farm workers and veterinarians are at increased risk. The pandemic is caused by human to human transmission. Symptoms of swine flu is similar to that of human flu, which include chill, fever, sore throat, muscle pain, severe headache, coughing, weakness and general discomfort. Antivirus drugs can alleviate symptoms, shorten the course of disease, and prevent complications. Drugs are most effective if you take them within 2 days after you have symptoms.
