Tachycardia

Tachycardia is a condition that the heart beats faster than normal while you are at rest. Common types of tachycardia include atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, Supraventricular tachycardia (SVT), ventricular tachycardia, and ventricular fibrillation. Symptoms include rapid heart beat, rapid pulse rate, shortness of breath, dizziness, heart palpitations. You may also experience chest pain. Some people may even have fainting. Treatment of tachycardia aims at stopping fast heart rate initially, preventing episodes of tachycardia, preventing blood clots, and treating underlying diseases.
