Tension headache

Tension headache is caused by unusual twitching and spasm of small brain muscles. Tension headache is the most common form of headache. The headache is often persistent. Symptoms include dull pain and tightness on forehead, both sides, or back of head. The headache is usually mild to moderate, but severity of attack differs from person to person. The headache can be quickly relieved by aspirin, ibuprofen, acetaminophen and other drugs. However, painkillers cannot cure the disease and headache can come back later. Having a healthy lifestyle can prevent tension headache.
