TMJ disorders

The temporomandibular joint (TMJ) is the joint connecting the lower jaw bone and skull. Speech, chewing or yawning involves TMJ joint. TMJ disorder is characterized by joint pain, soreness, snapping movement and mouth movement disorder. In most cases, the pain and discomfort caused by TMJ disorders can be alleviated by self-care and non-surgical treatment. In rare cases, physical change may occur. If the condition is serious, you may need dental or surgical treatment.
