Traumatic brain injury

Traumatic brain injury is severe trauma caused by violence at head. Traumatic brain injury can be divided into two categories: blunt injury and open injury. If brain tissue is not open to the outside, it is blunt injury. If scalp and skull are cracking, cerebrospinal fluid drains out, or brain tissue is open to the outside, it is open injury. Mild traumatic brain injury may cause temporary dysfunction. Severe traumatic brain injury may lead to long-term unconsciousness, memory loss or brain death.
