Traveler's diarrhea

Travelers' diarrhea is a gastrointestinal disease. Typical symptoms include loose stools and abdominal cramps. It is defined as having 3 or more loose stools each day during or after travel, or any number of loose stools each day along with fever, abdominal pain or vomiting, or any minor gastrointestinal dysfunction that is severe enough to affect your travelling plan or agenda. The disease is usually self-limiting and does not need special treatment. If you have diarrhea, you should avoid food for 8-12 hours, but supplement electrolyte. Do not drink milk. Severe cases should be hospitalized.
