You have itching in genital area, along with vaginal burning sensation and pain. You may also have painful sexual intercourse. If associated with urinary tract infections, you will have frequent urination, urinary urgency, painful urination or blood in urine. Treatment options include systemic and topical medication. Metronidazole (Flagyl) tablets are commonly used. Your sex partners should be treated at the same time.
