Ulcerative proctitis

Ulcerative proctitis is a mild form of ulcerative colitis. In ulcerative proctitis the lesion is located in the rectum and no more than 20 cm up into the colon. Symptoms of ulcerative proctitis include blood in stool, diarrhea, constipation, urgent need to have bowel movement, and sensation of incomplete emptying of the bowel afte you have a bowel movement. Ulcerative proctitis patients are more likely to develop hemorrhoids. Treatment include diet and life style adjustment, relieving pain, treat diarrhea and control inflammation.
