Undescended testicle (cryptorchidism)

Testicles usually enter into scrotum before a baby boy is born. Sometime, one or both testicles may remain in abdominal cavity. It is called undescended testicle (cryptorchidism). Most patients do not have symptoms. Once you find your child has no or only one testicle in his scrotum, he should be checked by a doctor. For children at one year old some drug may help testicle descending into scrotum. If testicle has not descended by 2 years old, surgery is recommended.
