Wet macular degeneration

Wet macular degeneration is a chronic eye disease related with aging. It is characterized by active neovascularization in the pigment epithelium of eye, causing oozing, bleeding and scarring. Wet macular degeneration almost always develops from dry macular degeneration. The cause is unclear. So far there are no effective treatment and prevention methods.
